On Tuesday, October 9, two young men on an ATV were involved in a deadly traffic accident in Atlantic County, New Jersey. The ATV driver, 23-year-old Bruce Banks of Pleasantville, NJ, and his passenger, the driver’s 19-year-old cousin, were traveling west across Route 9 – also known as New Road – at a bike path when the accident occurred. The ATV collided with a minivan that was traveling south in the passing lane. Both of the men on the ATV were thrown from the four-wheel, off-road vehicle. In the process, Mr. Banks struck both the minivan and another car and died at the scene of the accident. His passenger also struck the car in the process and is in critical condition at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. No charges were filed, but the accident remains under investigation.

Although negligence in the ATV accident has yet to be established, that does not foreclose the possibility that the injured passenger will have a viable claim. If you or someone you care about has been injured by another driver’s negligence, you need experienced legal counsel. Car accident claims are complicated, but your rights and your rightful compensation matter. A dedicated New Jersey personal injury lawyer will help guide your claim toward a beneficial resolution.
The Insurance Company & Your Roxbury Car Accident
If a negligent driver has left you injured as a result of a car accident, you may be at a loss for how best to proceed, and you may be tempted to simply accept the insurance company’s first settlement offer. This may not be in the best interests of you or your claim. Insurance companies are large corporations that are in the business of generating massive revenues. As such, many insurance companies employ their considerable resources to minimize – or even to outright deny – valid accident claims. You don’t have to succumb to the insurance company’s efforts, and you don’t have to fight for your rights on your own. A dedicated and experienced New Jersey personal injury attorney can deal directly with the insurance company on your behalf.
Your Mount Olive Car Accident Claim
Like the four-wheeler accident in Atlantic County, NJ, every accident claim is unique and has its own particular set of circumstances. If another driver left you injured, you need compensation for the damages you’ have suffered, which could be extensive. The medical costs alone might be astronomical. These can include:
- Emergency transportation from the scene of the accident.
- Emergency care.
- Hospital care, including surgery and aftercare.
- Doctor, specialist, and therapist care.
- Prescription medications.
- Adaptive physical devices.
Your damages likely extend far beyond just your medical expenses. You may lose time at work and experience lost wages. You may face decreased earnings in the future – or even an altered career path. Further, car accidents are violent, terrifying incidents that often leave victims with debilitating emotional trauma.
